I just received my new business cards, I really like them. I hope that since you are reading this page, you would consider me as a long arm quilter for your project. I will accept mailed quilts as well as setting up an appointment to meet you face to face in my home studio in Gaylord, Michigan on the 45th parallel! Yes, life in a Northern Town.
Here is a great article about choosing to have your quilt long armed:
I will give you a little information about my quilting experience. I have been a long arm quilter professionally since 2009. My mom and I bought a long arm machine as a long term project for my recovery from a bout of illness and mom for retirement. It initially was based out of her studio space a few blocks from my home. My mom has moved to a warmer climate but the long arm lives with me. And I did recover fully from my illness.
I have had a quilt in the 2013 AQS Grand Rapids show as a Semi Finalist. In October of 2016 the Michigan My Michigan quilt was in MQX Springfield. I also have had two of my quilts published in magazines. I have completed many quilts for customers who keep making lovely quilts and return to see me several times a year! It make me so happy to be part of helping people see their quilts reach the stage of being quilted. I have about an 8 week turn around time to long arm quilts.
I will post a pictures of my work here but feel free to browse through previous blog posts as they are loaded with customer quilts as well as my own. Pricing is determined by the density of quilting chosen as well as the amount of custom work desired. I am a free motion quilter and all of my work is. No computer. Very little marking on your quilt. And tons of personality. Each quilt is a unique body of work!!
